Hurricane Harvey Relief Project
So many of us wish there was something we could actually do or give directly to those suffering from Hurricane Harvey's devastation. Well, there is.

On Saturday, September 9th, we'll be putting together Clean-up Buckets and Hygiene Kits to be distributed by Church World Service (cwsglobal.org). They have provided us with a list of what exactly is needed in these buckets and kits. The list is below.

Three ways you can help:
  • Shop for items on the Clean-Up Bucket list and bring them to the Friendship Hall at the Bridgewater Congregational Church any time on any day from now through September 9th. You can just leave them inside the parking lot door.
  • Shop for and make up the complete Hygiene Kit as described in the attachment. Bring it to the church anytime through September 9th.
  • Join us on Saturday, September 9th, between 10:00 and 12 noon, to assemble the Clean-Up Buckets. We're planning to do it assembly line style. We'll provide coffee and lemonade and cookies and lots of camaraderie!

If you're not able to shop for the bucket contents or come by to join the assembly line, we'd love financial help so that we can purchase bucket items we're short on or supplies to make up even more buckets. Cash or checks would be fine. Checks can be made payable to the Bridgewater Congregational Church. Please put Hurricane in the memo line. You can bring your check/cash to the office (slip under the door if no one's here) or mail checks to us at PO Box 7, Bridgewater, CT 06752. An alternative is to call the office (860-354-8283) and donate to us by credit card.

Here’s the Community Spirit part!

Join your friends and neighbors at the Friendship Hall on Saturday September 9th between     10:00–12:00 noon for our bucket-filling assembly line! Bring your kids . . . it’s a great way for
them to help, too! We’ll have everything sorted into boxes so you can carry a bucket around
and fill it up.

All  items can be delivered to the Friendship Hall at the BridgewaterCongregational Church anytime and any day through September 9th!Or bring them with you to the Assembly Line gathering!

Can’t shop or join us on September 9th? We’d be very grateful for financial donations of any amountso that we can buy supplies to fill even more buckets! Checks can be made payable to the Bridgewater Congregational Church and please write Hurricane in the memo line.
You can also donate by credit card. Call the church office at 860-354-8283 weekday mornings.
